We have an excellent opportunity for an Experienced Electrical designer to join a well-established local engineering company based in Sunderland. The company’s current need is for an Electrical designer, someone who has experience in Electrical Automation systems, facility and machine maintenance. Previous qualifications preferred but not absolutely necessary as training can be given as and when required. We are looking for someone who wants to take their career to the next level. Always working at the forefront of current Automation technology, we require someone who has ability to pickup new systems and methods with ease and relishes a challenge. The candidate must be able to cope with working to strict timescales and under pressure at times. The successful candidate will develop existing experience by undertaking electrical design, producing 2D CAD drawings (experience with AutoCAD would be advantageous) working with suppliers and contractors as well as attending client and contractor meetings. Other duties will include carrying out snagging of electrical systems, commissioning and testing, organising work schedules, preparation of documentation, PLC software development and commissioning, SCADA and HMI development. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and progress designs passed down by senior engineers, assist with specification writing and equipment scheduling as well as being capable of carrying out detailed design for Automation control systems. In return we will offer a very competitive salary based on experience and skills.
£25k – £50k depending on previous experience.

We have an opportunity for an experienced industrial electrician to join a rapidly expanding Industrial Automation company. The candidate must be multi skilled and familiar with control panel wiring, electrical installation (tray/trunking/conduit work) and have experience in reading electrical drawings.
The successful candidate must be able to work both within a team and also independently where required. Experience in electrical installation plus inspection and testing would be preferred. A clean driving license is essential as company vehicles are provided for access to customer sites.
Reporting to the operations manager the candidate will be able to carry out given tasks in an on-time and professional manner. In return we offer a generous salary depending on qualifications and experience.

Ensure that your respective control panels are completed to a satisfactory standard and that all issues arising during the assembly phase are dealt with immediately and in a professional manner. Liaise with colleagues as necessary.
Identify non-conforming items and ensure that all issues are raised in line with the company procedure.
Ensure that all documentation used prior, during or resulting from the panel assembly work are controlled in accordance with company’s quality, environmental and health and safety procedure, management system and are completed promptly.
Liaise with Managers and Supervisors to ensure that all electrical equipment is safe and serviceable.
Ensure that all equipment dispatched from the Workshop has been appropriately tested and is accompanied by the necessary documentation.
If deemed necessary by constraints of the business you may be required to carry out tasks outside of your core responsibility.
Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management system.
Use and operate work equipment in accordance with any training, instruction and information you have been given.
Accurately adhere to the relevant build information and ensure suitable quality standards are met.
Understand the standard time allowance and strive to achieve it.
Ensure correct use of tools, jigs and equipment as required.
Build product to current (or otherwise specified) assembly information, as required.
Perform verification testing of product, as required
Perform ‘Electrical Safety Test’ of main assemblies, as required
Undertake more specialised assembly tasks provided the appropriate training has been given
The Role will include regular weekend work with time off during the week in lieu
On occasion, work may need to be carried out at unsocial hours
On occasion, be able to travel and / or to stay away over night
Knowledge of or experience within the automotive electrical engineering sector/Tier 1/Tier 2/ Contracting/ Major Projects is desirable but not essential.
Electrically competent and with up to date 17th Edition wiring regulations. Hold relevant NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 certification.
Expected hourly rate in the region of £14.00 to £17.00 per hour with overtime commensurate with level of experience, company pension scheme, 20 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays, all company branded work wear is provided.
