AR Controls recently purchased a HURCO VM64I 4 axis CNC vertical machining center. As our mechanical requirements in full turnkey projects has grown over recent years we made the decision to invest in our own VMC. This gives us significantly more control over workflow, delivery time and ultimately part quality instead of relying on 3rd party companies. We are now able to make considerable improvements in project turnaround time as a result, delighting our customers. We sometimes have spare capacity and would welcome enquiries for contract work.
AR Controls have been cutting the majority of their large flat parts and sections in house for some time using a Swift-Cut Pro 3m plasma cutting machine. As our mechanical requirements in full turnkey projects has grown over recent years we made the decision to invest in our own plasma cutter back in 2018. This gives us significantly more control over workflow, delivery time and ultimately part quality instead of relying on 3rd party companies. We are now able to make considerable improvements in project turnaround time as a result, delighting our customers. We sometimes have spare capacity and would welcome enquiries for contract work.
AR Controls has extensive knowledge in producing bespoke panels and enclosures from start to finish. Panels and Enclosures can be produced on site at AR Controls quickly and accurately using the Perforex BC 1007 HS machine from Rittal Automation Services.
The Perforex BC 1007 HS drills, mills, cuts and taps threads into all machinable materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and plastic which can be used for a wide range of industries. This machine, which revolutionizes panel building and electrical engineering, speeds up processing by 66%. This is a fraction of the time it would take to produce panels and enclosures by hand. Any waste materials can be removed from the machine safely and recycled on site.
It has a patented plate and performance kit with a diaphragm clamping system which holds the panel or enclosure perfectly in place, greatly improving accuracy during production. Cutting, milling, drilling and tapping can be done to suit any needs using up to forty different tools which can be fitted directly onto the machine. Milling of cutouts for fixed heavy connectors with different slanting positions can be programmed with ease as there is necessary space for machining complete enclosures.
These bespoke designs can be created on site at AR Controls, from designing to production, assembly and delivery. We can provide accurate panels and enclosures for a diversity of industries with ease. Created quickly, with no compromise on quality.
Many of the metal parts that we require for large turnkey projects need to be powder coated to a customer’s specific colour requirement and specification. As our mechanical requirements in full turnkey projects has grown over recent years, we made the decision to invest in our own T-Mech Powder Coating facility with a curing oven for small to medium sized parts. This gives us significantly more control over workflow, delivery time and ultimately part quality instead of relying on 3rd party companies. We are now able to make considerable improvements in project turnaround time as a result, delighting our customers. We sometimes have spare capacity and would welcome enquiries for contract work.
AR Controls have an in-house fabrication and welding service. We are able to create a variety of welded structures to support our turnkey projects and have MiG welding stations, a GEKA bending machine, cutting saws etc. We occasionally have spare capacity and would welcome any enquiries for contract work.
AR Controls now have a team of mechanical designers within the engineering team. Customers projects are quickly converted into 3D designs using the Solidworks CAD package. Larger turnkey projects, during mechanical design reviews with customers, are often visualized using our KeyShot Virtual Reality facility which massively reduces the time for customers to review design changes, reducing overall project completion time. Small parts can be produced using our Markforged 3D printer facility for testing and evaluation using a variety of materials such as carbon fibre, Kevlar and fiberglass to name a few.
